Using MacOS Messages on your college MacBook is prohibited to avoid distraction, and inappropriate behaviour.
Complete the steps below to sign-out of the Messages app to ensure that your college MacBook is being used appropriately.
1. Open the Messages app from your MacBook dock or launchpad. 
2. Click Messages in the top left corner of your screen and select Settings.
3. In the Settings screen, click iMessage and select Sign Out.
4. Your Messages app will now appear like the screenshot below. You may need to display this to your teacher to confirm that you aren't using the app in class
